last night I took the bus from work to the Levi’s Commuter Workspace party downtown.
the party’s turnout was insane: and it was a great crowd.
Simply designed space with all your biking needs (mechanic, tuneup, jeans with stretch….denim covered bike seats!). I’m in love with the windbreakers that look indigo dyed.
It’s up for a month…so ride on over to 157 w 5th downtown.
This is Ground’s MOD launches today. I’ve been carrying this organizer-meets-lifestyle-changer for a couple weeks now and I love it.
It carries all my stuff (phone, keys, notebook, cards, pens, receipts, cash, random pieces of paper I need to carry around) and is so much better than rummaging around in a bag. That having been said, it also tosses into most of my bags pretty easily when I need to carry more.
Even more than the item itself, I love how it’s imagined: you can swap out the interior organizers (and their colors) to change it up and organize yourself and your stuff a different way.
my brother composed the score for this Woolmark award doc about the awesome Christian Wijnants.
Unfortunately, you can’t watch it on Material Concern: but you can see it here: International Woolmark Prize – Christian Wijnants – European Finalist 2012 from The Woolmark Company on Vimeo.
Lizzie at Tomboy Style made one of Project Room’s $10 benches yesterday, and made it look oh-so-great on her blog.
Hey look, it’s James Franco in the James Tee I did for Clashist!
Clashist is really killing it, check out all their new stuff here.
become good friends with Lupita Nyong’o so that, after a good amount of time of hanging out, drinking wine, talking about books and movies and art and stuff, she’s like, “OMG, LIZZ, you have to take home this big bag of stuff designers keep sending me because I can only be seen wearing it once, and I’m sure you have tons of places to wear it” ?
Our good friend Julia Sherman’s blog, Salad for President, is beautifully shot, delightfully curated and written in her voice, so it’s charming, funny, totally quick and friendly, and in the know on all things salad and the creative people she’s tapped to make them.
One that looks incredible that’s on her site right now is this lotus root salad, from the bartender at the restaurant I miss from when I lived down the street in Bed-Stuy.
