so: style.com is now a magazine.
ummmm: okay i get it, ish?
i like magazines more than websites as far as enjoyment goes.
however, style.com is about the shows, the shots, etc.
but, honestly…the magazine was okay and i liked the insidery internet vibe…ish because with Vogue the insidery rich privileged vibe strikes me as a little…1940s/out of touch/lame/boring.
but do you read Vogue?
The graphic design is very hard to get around: it’s like they hired a grandmother who just got into facebook to design the magazine. or like someone that really doesn’t want things to look nice or even right.

However, with Style.com Print, I guess because it’s Vogue’s internet grab….they made the graphic design all 90′s technology/william gibson-y/johnny mnemonic-y/super weird like your dad who got really excited about fonts.com and the future or something when you were a junior in high school. They use a TECHNOLOGY font for god’s sake. and not even like, ironically.
Vogue: you love all these designers under 35…maybe you could hire a graphic designer under 60, or at least one that understands the internet is a means to information and accessibility not a paradigm of outdated design.
