Since the likelihood of me getting one of those previously posted cavarans is very small, the next best thing would be an awesome tent. Not awesome like the ones that go to -300 degrees and pack down to nothing: awesome like pretty.

like these Cath Kidson tents that are, unfortunately, no longer for sale.

semina.jpg

today we went to LACMA. In the California art of the 60s and 70s exhibition, I came across the work of Wallace Berman and his beautiful handmade magazine Semina. He created 9 issues, made up to 200 copies of each issue, and sent them off to friends and colleagues (you couldn’t subscribe). It seems like the most lovely thing to get in the mail: free form loose sheets: poems typewritten on cardstock, printed photographs, collages: all packaged differently for each issue.

awesome.

as a fashion girl: I don’t care for marc jacobs. i think his clothes are on the cute side on boring.
However, I do respect that he appears to give breaks to people much more creative (or perhaps less dependent on large fashion conglomerate than he is) a chance.
One of the those people is stefan beckman. He’s featured in T magazine this week… he does set design: and i loved what he did for marc jacobs spring 2007: building a fake river scene out of candy. who doesn’t like candy?
