did anyone else hear the sonic boom today?

we did, in culver city. After googling: big boom sound, los angeles, I found out it was the space ship endeavor landing: pretty cool.

i swore off dvd-tv after than unfortunate “alias period” when i had a broken arm and all we did for the whole recovery was watch alias.

however, i had a lot of sewing to do this weekend, and i figured a show that gets so much satorial love: i should watch.

I definitely got sucked in: but i kept feeling like i was watching the dinosaurs before the meteor, or a group of german jews before hilter. You get so drawn into these people, and they are pretty much all horrible or sad people, but their way of life is going to be so irreparably changed in a couple years…so it almost doesn’t matter.

it was a bit like watching a really sexy archealogical dig.

I know that vignettes can be meaningful and lovely, but at times i’ve felt like I’m watching the characters and its a horror movie (for them: not for women’s rights), and i’m like, “OH NO! look out! 1968 is coming and it’s totally going to eat you!”

and i hate the fashion. hate it. i do however like the glasses they always drink out of in Donn’s office: i got them at a philly thriftstore and they now reside in my old bed stuy apartment.

oh i do like her but i think she might be only in the first season:)

omg, these are amazing.

if i was a rock star i would wear these with high heeled boots and a hanes wifebeater in grey heather. possibly with a wig.

since i am not a rockstar, i am suggesting them as a nice hannukah (or christmas) gift.thanks to ali for the heads up!

LA-ladies: at the absolutely awesome St Vinnies thrift storeoff San Fernando: someone dropped off a sample-sales worth of brand new J Brand jeans.

The ladies jeans are all size 25: but remember, they are samples so some magically are bigger by mistake (see the ones i scored above–and hint: read the card with comments to know whats wrong or right with the jeans-like if they say too big: grab them), and the mens are in sizes 32 and 34.

um. they are 5.00-6.99. There’s a table in the linens room and a bunch on the racks in the middle clothing room.

go get em if you want em.

kirsten dunst has my shoes, same color, everything: the shoes that, i believe, i started this blog with, well, its the 8th post, but still. we are now at 1377: so, i’ve had about a year of having these all to myself.
