I’ll be the first to admit that I unsecret-ly love a lot of different tv shows. A lot of this can be attributed to the fact that i really mutlitask/bore easily/have some super productive form of ADD: and when I’m drawing or databasing or doing work that doesn’t take full brain power that I like the rest of my brain to be entertained: but because most of my brain is busy i can’t do anything hibrow at that minute you know what mean? Like, the 400 Blows plus quickbooks is really, really not going to work out for anyone.

HOWEVER: i still won’t be found watching any situational comedies. That having been said: I’m pulling for Zooey Deschanel and Liz Meriwether (star and creator, respectively) of The New Girl, primarily because of this article in New York Mag.

Most of the shows I like feature strong female characters. Wait, scratch that. All of the shows I like feature strong female characters, other than Entourage but I just watched that for the Ari character.

Let’s get more women and girls on TV, and behind TV: and lets have them be the stars of their shows, and creators of their shows, and let’s let them be whoever they want to be.
